    Apparently the club dont want to give him a new deal yet though as he still has 2years left. Lenny has been quoted saying "we will hold discussions with the players out of contract at the end of the season."

    Tbh I think Hoops deserves a pay rise though.

    I also think Hooper deserves a pay rise. He's been pivotal since he first joined.

    No coincidence this has all started since Hooper got a new agent. I'm not saying Hooper doesn't deserve a pay rise or even an extension but the agent alledgedly has come out saying there are several clubs interested in Hooper already.

    Seems to me that a player pledging his future to us and saying he is happy is a good thing, I don't see why we are focusing on whether he deserves a 'pay rise'.

    give the bhoy a pay rise. he's more than earned it.

    on the subject of agents, i know footballers arent renowned for their smarts, but surely it's not beyond them to negotiate their own pay and keep the 12.5% their agent takes. I mean Giggs manages it and he isnt even smart enough to realise knobbing your brother's missus might not be a great idea.

    Agents are fuds! End of! Only reason this is in the press is because his new agent needs to earn his brass!

    As above, Lenny has discussed it already and a new contract for Hoops is not on the agenda, right now!

    That's not to say that won't change if he continues to improve and scores the goals that win the league, and possibly a cup or two.

    Then he can negotiate from a position of strength!

    He does deserve a pay rise and I'm glad he wants to stay here. I think he could potentially be an ever more amazing player if he stays with us.

    He changed agent recently. This new guy is pushing for a new deal to make a name for himself.

    You're right mate, agents are fuds and not really needed IMO.
    Pretty sure Paul lambert neve had an agent and done all his own negotiating. Is it really that hard to say what you want and try to negotiate it? Agents only think about pushing more so they can get more, and rarely care what's best for the players career.

    Hooper deserves a new deal IMO and injust ope his agent does what's best for hooper and nit his own bank balance
