In GTA IV there's the Celtica Hotel, there's also a store visible in one of the Ballad of Gay Tony missions who's sign says "est. 1888"

In LA Noire there's two detectives who are partners called Caldwell and McManus.

Post more if you know of any and no, PES and FIFA don't count :56:

Its not a game but i found a reference where i didn't think i'd find one - the Joss Whedon TV show Angel. At one point they go into a bar and the back wall is covered in Celtic memorabilia :D

Rockstar north is the main developer of gta games, they are based in edinburgh so probably a few celtic fans been working on the games

    Football Manager? :50:

Seriously though, the GTA and LA Noire stuff will be because the games are developed by Rockstar in Scotland. I wouldn't be surprised if there were subtle references to certain other Scottish football clubs in there too.

I figured that with GTA but LA Noire is actually developed by Team Bondi, an Aussie developer, Rockstar were only the publishers.

Loving the grotesque stereotyping going on there. Drunk Scotsman with an axe hates the English. They must have spent a lot of money on research during the production of that game

Playing through gta v again and the amount of Scottish references is great.
From the first gta, through to this one I certainly think the devs are tims. Or at least anti-Huns.

Moonbeams is a van name, the original game where you got praised for running over a line of orange men, Celtic player names through out the game and a heavy Irish influence on characters in various games etc. A scotland flag I think in every game as well.

I think the main developers were hibs and hearts fans. That's why the colours of the ballas and the Grove street families wore purple and green.

Walked past their HQ in Edinburgh during the summer. Cool as * how successful they are.

    Another great invention from Scots.

As mentioned, all started in Dundee!

I often take a walk around the McManus Galleries museum on my lunch break and they have one of the original GTA boxes for the PC game on display and the gaming awards that DMA Design won. There is also a big Lemmings homage and other stuff.

While I'm at it, the Sinclair ZX Spectrum was made in Dundee too, at Timex. And the Levi's factory produced one million pairs of jeans a week at its peak.

Aye GTA London you had to blow up the rangers bus (not queens park rangers - although you could argue it was them) and run over like 10 guys in orange walking in a straight line :D
