One of my favorite books. Also a great tv show. I'm a little bit disappointed because there isn't any scene of Whispering forest battle.

Yeah I was really disappointed we didn't get to see at least one of the battles, guessing it was down to budget constraints, but now that the first series is being so well recieved they should have a bit more money to play with for the second.

It was pretty brilliant. Considering picking up the books now.

I hope the second series gets more than ten episodes, the second book is about twice as long as the first, they'd have to compress it a lot or cut out loads of material to make it fit.

Well, no, it ain't. Not HBO policy anymore. While it would be better off with, say 12, as the book is longer, we'll need to be satisfied with 10. I'm confident enough it'll work out alright. Enjoyed the last episode. I'd give it a 9/10.

Series on a whole gets an 8/10. But I'm a critic, having read the books. It beats the * out of anything else like it currently out there.

The books are well worth it mate even if you dont normally read fantasy. The new one is out in a couple of weeks.

On a side note the series was good and having read the books it was great to see how well it transfered to the tv.

Season 2 is confirmed for 10 or 12 episodes.

Anyone watch it? Possibly my favorite show ever (cant decide between it and Boardwalk Empire, I have a love for HBO shows), at first I was skeptical but once you get into the show it really is addicting. So many interesting plot lines, you never know where they will take the story and who will die. Truly a unique show.

Just finished watching the first season of Game Of Thrones.

Well worth a download :50: Some fantastic twists in the story and Sean Bean is superb. It certainly filled a Sopranos shape hole in my TV viewing for a few weeks.

Plus Roxanne Mckee (hollyoaks) gets them out :84:

Liked it so much I bought Clash Of Kings novel to find out what happens next! Anyone watched it?
