Friends

What do people make of the show? Have seen a lot of people on here say they think it’s * and typical unfunny American humour etc but I’ve always liked it, watched pretty much every episode as a kid when they showed them non stop on E4 and then on Comedy Central.

Have started watching it from the beginning since it was added to Netflix and still love it.

 

I really enjoyed it at the time. Still watch the odd episode now and again if the Mrs has it on.

I think it is ‘cool’ to not like it tbh, some people just like to be different.

Was speaking to the Mrs about this last night actually. I can still watch any episode, even for the umpteenth time, and I still laugh out loud. The thing with Friends though, is, I feel you need to have seen all the previous episodes to ‘get’ a lot of it. You can’t just jump in in series 6 and know what’s going on.

My favourite is Ross, I think he is hilarious, and Rachel is never credited for how funny she is either.

Friends was class back in the day.

E4 friends marathons helped me through some tough times in my deepest depths of drug and alcohol induced fear.

I've seen every episode and I'm cool as *.

I stick it on when there's nothing on the tele or your struggling for something to watch, that, the Simpsons or Impractical Jokers are my go to.

Only seen a few episodes from start to finish (seen bits and pieces of others) but I really don't get it. American comedy, for the most part, does nothing for me. Too over the top and cheesy.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is right up my alley because it's not your typical US sitcom. It feels more British in its style of humour.

 

Yes it is a major Sheepology player,totally overrated

 

Yes Brit * was a cracking comedy,but never got aired

 

It's not the worst,used to watch occasionally years ago,but Phoebe is intolerable,brutal character.

 

Nah, it really is *. If you want something funny from that side of the world try Trailer Park Boys, Scrubs or Eastbound and Down.

Ohhhh Phobe's singing another cooky song. * right off. In fact all the girls are annoying as *. Matt LeBlanc was only funny in Episodes which has now sadly ended.

 

Chandler was the best

 

I probably couldn't watch it now, and would find some of the jokes a bit more cringey, (plus Phoebe would properly wind me up these days) but it was an enjoyable watch back in the day.

As mentioned, it's the kind of comedy you can watch again and again but still find the jokes funny.

Will still fire it on if i see it on comedy central as a default, even if its just background noise. In order of favourites:
