The type of signing that should have been made in June to give him a full preseason and have him ready for qualifiers. Our lack of planning is baffling.

Negativity all over the place. But unless the board pull out a couple of marquee signings before the shut then Im no going to be convinced this season at all.

If we remember right this is what they did to Lennon last time round and it was the reason for him walking. Told him "your no getting big money till you qualify for the Champions League" yet at the same time sold all his best players from under him and still expected him to qualify. I.e Hooper, Wilson, Wanyama, Ki, Forster.....anyone worth any money got punted and very little got put back in with the excuse that we must qualify for the Champions League first. Idiotic board members.

Unimaginative and backwards signing, why not sign a young promising keeper? He’s horrendous with the ball at his feet and injury prone.

This is a reactive more than proactive signing to Bain being out for a sustained period people need to realise this.

Good signing if we can get him back to the way he was , when on form better keeper than gordon and bain. I like that he just punts the ball rather than trying to pick a man , doesnt take chances also will be better at coming for corners as gordon doest come of his line and bain is short for a keeper. Think celtic may cash in on gordon if an opportunity arises.

    Cracking signing, buzzing.

Just have my fingers crossed he’s healthy because he will be a quality addition.

If we're picking him up for * all, they're paying most of his wages and let's face it; he's competition for the other 2... don't see any harm in this, even though I'd rather have seen a permanent player in.

Now, sign some * full backs!!!

Genuinely cannae win with some of our support.. folk asking to sign a young keeper would be the exact same people that if we did sign one, would be saying that we shouldn't be signing prospects.

If we can get Forster some game time and bring him back to the quality he was before we have a top, top keeper on our hands. People need to wind their necks in a bit.

Anyone wanting to sign a ‘young keeper’, whoever the * that may be, over a proven quantity in his prime is a dumpling.

I know that, but how is an injury prone keeper who has barely played first team football the past few seasons a short term fix? People need to realise our scouting system is a * joke.

Personally I think he is done, I don't think he has ever fully got over the injuries he's had. Not worth the wages he'd cost unles Southampton are paying a good chunk, assuming it is a loan.

I agree but it’s a big if. See if you say the same after he punts the ball straight out the park 4 times in a row, used to always remember he can actually throw the ball further and more accurately than kicking it.

Maybe I’m being pedantic but just think there’s a lot more downsides and risk to signing him.

Im happy to have him back, big step up from Gordon and Bain. I also didnt think his kicking was that bad, at least not Gordon like straight out the park constantly. He used to be able to batter balls right up the middle with left and right foot.
