We'll never shell out what's needed. Another loan, with a decent loan fee and decent wage contribution is what we'll push for. Problem is they'll be other clubs sniffing about now that will be willing to take him of their hands permanantley. Which is what they would prefer.

Supposed greatest manager in the world did the same... It snobbery I think that leads to it I remember City signed bravo because he could play the ball and he was giving away important goals. If a keeper can't play the ball do the next best thing pass to Cb who can.... Theirs no other alternative though for a keeper who isn't the best shot stopper

THAT performance of his really is quite bittersweet.

Truly wonderful to behold as a Hoops fan, but the high-profile nature of it increases the likelihood of him going back to his parent club... or them selling for big bucks.

We shelled out 9 million for a striker when we had dembele at club.... Yes I know we sold dembele later.... But theirs was a point where we had the two at the same time I don't see their being no reason Why we can't shell out 7 million for him and him being our marquee signing next year we got ten million for him so paying 7 or 8 isn't that bad a deal to get him back same goes for Southampton if he isn't that upto scratch in their eyes to get a 7 or 8 million back on him is decent business especially if their relegated..... I will say this we won't shell out for him and elynoussi at once it will either be one of the two and judging from the other day it has to be forster.... From a directors point of view though maybe they will think they can recoup a fee on moi if they did sign him

When the salary cap is talked about, is that for basic wage? Can Celtic incentivise with bonuses that could lead to a competitive wage (closer to his current wage) based on performances (clean sheet, win bonus, etc)?

Sunday and Lazio home and away he pulled up some great saves.

The one from Jack was the best on Sunday most of Morelos bar the header you would expect him to make.

I would be happy for us to shell out but we just won't pay that kind of money for a keeper that has very little sell on value. Doesn't fit our business model, it's a pain in the * but that's how we're going about things. Even if we were to get a fee agreed, he's rumoured to be on a hefty deal and would he be willing to take the necessary loss of millions to come here? Southampton will be desperate to get him off the wage bill and if an EPL team comes in with the necessary fee and the wages to match he won't be coming here. Need a good few things to go our way for him to be here next season.

Aye it's basic wage, everyone will be on appearance bonuses and European bonuses as standard then bigger bonuses for the bigger players.

stretch Craig Gordon to 6ft 7inches, stick some stubble on his chin and send him to Southampton at the end of the season ;-)

Telegraph reporting he's only on 17k a week at Southampton. Surely that's no right. If it is we can offer him that no bother.

Absolutely dread to think then what he was on when he was with us originally, no way is his wage that low. I'd say that is something likely to have been something we paid.

He signed his extension as England number 1 with Man U chasing him.

If he’s not on the reported 70k a week it won’t be far off it.

My Saints supporting mate claims he's the highest paid player at their club.
