I think he maybe could have been out a bit quicker but that is nit-picking, Southampton midfield and Clyne being way too far up the park was more the reason for the chance being presented to Sterling. We all know that Fraser is not one for charging out anyway.

    Just saw it..

He was slow off the line but sterling woulda finished that regardless as it went bottom corner..

Couldn't do anything for the second goal either. Poor defending letting sturridge in for a tap in

I have a feeling that down south he's just going to be another 'keeper to be honest. He'll concede more goals playing for Southampton.

You're right on 1 point and wrong on the other I think.

Of course he'll concede more, his team are playing against actual talented opposition!

However the sheer fact that an EPL club spent £10 million on him - when players from Scottish clubs are historically and notoriously under-rated - shows you that he's rated very, very highly. Also, he's displaced a far more experienced goalie in big Artur instantly.

He's already got 2 Eng caps and that will rapidly increase over the coming seasons.

I tend to agree. I could easily see Forster performing so well for Southampton that he ends up at a bigger club in a couple of season.

He's what? 1 year younger than Joe Hart? He's most likely always going to be his back-up at best, so I don't see him suddenly going on a run with the England team.

As for the £10 million? That's * all. If he'd went to someone bigger than Southampton I'd agree, but I don't think he'll be seen as more than another English 'keeper before long.
