For Hip hop fans

For tupac fans and rap fans in general i was looking through youtube and found a guy called, BLAC HAZE , he sounds like 2 pac some thing awful and there is a lot of debating on the youtube comments,

I must admit i am liking his music !!!!! have a we listen people??? most people think its tupac

i love hip hop but my definition of what hip hop is seems to differ a lot from what others think it is.

im with clagan on that. strictly underground * for me.

 

to me mate hip hop has always been more music orientated whereas rap is just a sampled beat with some * talking about how rich he is over the top of it. there are always exceptions but it general i think its true

but would you not agree that what is considered hip hop and whats considerd rap are very different?

 

50 cent fans etc dont really call it hip hop but they are hardly experts are they?

 

not quite mate, they're white, middle class kids who think will smith invented hip hop. what do you listen to yourself?

 

i listen to stuff like hieroglyphics, dead prez, non phixion, the roots, 2mex, dj shadow, herbaliser, jehst, rhyme asylum, task force, phi life cypher etc etc.

I thought you call the whole culture hip hop that consist of breakdance, graffiti, rap music etc.

I take it you are into rap and hip hop, how would you describe the the new stuff (mainstream) stuff from the states? cool, good, bad?

 

in a word. terrible. the mainstream uk stuff is just as bad.

 

I used to listen to rap music years ago and every time I hear american mainstream stuff it makes me wanna jump outta window. had a discussion with a french boy some days ago and he thought 50 cent was the real deal.

 

i haven't listened to mainstream rap (with the exception of meth, biggie and 2pac) since the "still dre" days. I really can't stand that bling bling bullshit.

iv saw cypress hill, dilated peoples, herbaliser & aphletik, sage francis, the roots.. live. saw cypress just after they dropped black sunday so it was truelly classic *. still remember most, i was only 13 (10 years ago). b real had a big afro at the time. i was getting spliffs passed to me left right and center. i only got in cos i looked older and was with bro.
