My * are they saying it was organised between footballers? I can't believe that, I mean how does that even come up in conversation? Absolutely horrible. Shame on anyone who covered that up.

 

Don't think so. I think former players are speaking out against Bennell.

 

Oh right so just one guy acting alone? Not that it makes it better for the victims but it's not as mental as a group of footballers like the politicians which was covered up.

 

One of the players who came forward claimed abuse from a different coach.

 

I think this is going to end up being the tip of a very disgusting iceberg.

 

It is youth players getting abused by coaches

 

Agreed hopefully those who committed these crimes are brought to justice quickly. I would hate to see a cover up.

One of the coaches involved told the kids he would kill their families if they told anyone.

The kids involved are all grown up now and have had various degrees of success within football. as someone said this is probably the tip of the iceberg. there may even be some high profile names to come out in this

How evil is that, threatening to kill their family? Some people are wired up so wrong.

This guy Bennell sounds like a complete nightmare, he's been in jail about 4 times already for abusing kids, even in America. Now he's been caught again for this. Need to lock him up forever to stop him.

 

These * are disgusting. I hope they are all exposed and that regulations are put in place to protect all the children in football academies.

 

What strikes me most is how completely broken this type of abuse leaves someone. Until now I'd never fully appreciated the consequences. Absolutely heartbreaking.

 

Aye stuff like this can really * someone up, especially the way some of these sadistic * act. Telling a young boy you'll kill his family if he tells anyone what's happening, how * sick can you be.

Somebody they thought they could trust and who they thought had their best interests at heart. * sad.

 

The interviews on the Victoria Derbyshire program was hard to watch.

What the * was going on years ago its as if everyone was a * peado. bbc exposed, jimmy saville etc and many more celebs and now this in football. Seriously man what is wrong way people.

 

wonder if that sick * john chalmers will ever be mentioned in this.

 

Just heard on the news there's rumours of possible pay offs from clubs to keep quiet? Surely that has to bullshite?

 

I think that definitely happened in the past.

 

Feel ill with this. It happens everywhere and there are so many people affected.
