Discuss Fixtures are out.. in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.
Home to St Johnstone to start us off..
Decent November and December list.
First game against the Klan is on August 31st.
Hibs, Aberdeen and Manky Mob at HOME in space of 2 weeks at Christmas
I thought that the December fixtures looked tough. We will hopefully have a Champions League game in among those fixtures.
I don't think you can get a better run than that. All the bigger teams are at home. Hamilton and St Mirren should be gimmees.
A few days after the Champions League Play-Off 2nd leg...
We have Hibernian, Aberdeen and the Huns at home in a two-week period over Christmas though, and our players are likely to be exhausted.
That's what I was thinking mate.
Much more favourable than the Hibs, Aberdeen and Huns all away in the same 2 week period last season.
No difference they will have a euro game mid week too!
Maybe. Maybe not.
That's my point. Doesn't matter if we play a few days before, we play them or not. Get some decent signings in and we could play the night before and still go to their midden and pump them the next day.
Nothing to do with the fixtures. All to do with how we come out of this window.
Usually the first game of the season, we as champions will kick off the seasob as the first game right? Looking at flights and would be a * if we dont play on a saturday...
I'm not saying it will definitely be a Saturday but if memory serves the first game is usually 12.30 on the Saturday. As the epl won't have started there isn't as much an epl game to go up against. However if we end up int Europa league that may have an effect.
Though maybe not as it will only be the 2nd europa round before that which I don't think we"ll be involved in.
I will have to stay till the monday then. Otherwise i might miss the game. Cheers for your reply!
They’ve already switched Killie-Sevco to Sunday so with that in mind it’s 99.999% a Saturday game just a question of whether it will be at 12.30 or like last season just left as a normal 3 o’clock
Will the Hun game get moved to the Sunday?
We'll come flying out the traps this season. I have every confidence. There was discontent with Brendan Rodgers and Boyata last season. And losing Dembele. Our defence was decimated with injuries, and poor mistakes. The boys that remain will be out to prove a point on the back of a treble treble. Lennon will have his stamp on the team. Our players know where they stand. Both sets of players despise each other. As champions, bring it on Gerrard.
We need better performances at the ugly-dome, the last 2 have been totally unacceptable.
