Discuss Films you just "dont get" in the TC Media area at TalkCeltic.net.
We've some characters on here. :smiley-laughing002:
Now that django has been out for a while, and people have had a while to talk about it, i now think that django is easily the most over rated film since inception. I did think it was good, but the way people go on about it you would think its the greatest of all time. Its people who think the hangover "is like da funniest film eva" that just take films at face value that are praising django to death.
I was really enjoying this film and thought it was excellent - right until the very end. The way it ended like it did just completely ruined it and it should have been MUCH better. Was just like The Sopranos and for me when there is no proper ending to a movie it ruins it.
One for me was The Watchmen. Completely over-hyped trash that is almost 3 hours of my life that I will never see again.
daybreakers watched it a few times and still have no idea what its about
Keith Lemon Film, why *? Why?
Many film critics have hailed it a classic and indeed quite a few seem to think it's the best movie ever made, personally i think it's a pile of crap lol.
It's A Wonderful Life.
Saw it for the first time over Christmas. Not a bad movie and is one of those "feel good" movies but way, WAY over-hyped. Just don't get the obsession surrounding it.
Lord of the Rings watched all three after it hyped out of all existence how good it was, a bit like the Emperors new Clothes. It bored me. Although from What i hear Lincolin could also be an insomniac aid. Forrest Gump too cute by half, i hope to never watch that again.
Greatest trilogy ever. Immense
Well there you, go at least somebody liked it.
I thought it was utter * aswell mate
It's a great exercise in film making - the production values and direction were brilliant but it managed to get its head stuck up its own * for long periods.
So you're insulting anyone who rates Hangover basically. If someone disagrees with you, do you instinctively assume they can't spell correctly? It's pretentious people such as yourself that no one wants to be mates with, because they put down everything that's "mainstream" and only want to watch 'indie' films. I think Hangover's okay and I love Django, so what am I, an uneducated moron aye?
Absolutely no denying that at all, but for me it dragged on a bit too much. The CGI battle scenes were also too long and the plot got bogged down.
I thought LOTR was pish as well.
It took me years to watch any of them and I was quite proud for some reason that I had never seen any of them :smiley-laughing002:
Finally watched them and thought what a * waste.
Sure I've mentioned this before but someone over the weekend said A Serious Man is a great film.
No point to it. Maybe that's the point?
That's similar to me with all the Starwars remakes, no matter if you love or hate the first three you know the new ones are utter crap. Still haven seen them no wish to.
Don't think I have seen any of the newer Star Wars tbh
Maybe had them on in the background once on a Sunday or sumin :smiley-laughing002:
