I’m not into horrors as it is tbh.

Went to see Greta, today. A thriller about an old Hungarian woman. Was decent.

Greta. Thriller about a mad kidnapping Hungarian woman. 5.5/10.

Red Joan. (Inspired by the true story of Melita Norwood)

“Joan Stanley is a widow living out a quiet retirement in the suburbs when, shockingly, the British Secret Service places her under arrest. The charge: providing classified scientific information - including details on the building of the atomic bomb - to the Soviet government for decades. As the interrogation gets underway, Joan relives the dramatic events that shaped her life and her beliefs.”
    8/10.

All about taste and opinions I know, but jeezo mate. This is one of the greatest movies ever for me. Just total tension throughout. The cast were fantastic, the music superb and a fantastic ending the scene when they are all being tested, and the guy comes away with the line' I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, and are all very tired, but if you don't mind I'd rather not spend the rest of the winter tied to this * couch' had me in knots.

    Carpenter's finest moment imo.

Maybe I need to watch it again, but horrors have never really done it for me.

It’s the same with the original Wickerman. Saw it had excellent reviews and knew it was well thought of, and I didn’t enjoy that either.

Never got around to watching Wickerman.
Not a great fan of horrors myself but watched some really decent horror/ish movies of late. Just finished Haunting of hill house. That was a good watch.

    This.

Wrapped up the story perfectly, for a few characters.

I have slept about 3 hours the last few days due to an ear infection and i went to see Endgame at the Odeon luxe last night(with the recliners). Went in genuinely worried i'd doze off but came out absolutley buzzing and have not slept yet again :56:.
Im not a massive movie buff but this movie, for me, transcends entertainment... it is history. The MCU has been a part of nearly half my life, cheered me up when i was down , entertained me when i was bored and has made a tradition of going to see these movies with my Dad and Brother. This movie is undescribably epic and gave me what i can only describe as an emotional *.

TBH, I'm of the same opinion. :50: Admittedly will need to sit through this new one again as there was so much going on, indeed too much for me to be able to follow everything, but story structure wise, Infinity War was a better film.

To make a comparison, Endgame was a good way to round the MCU story out, but after the high bar that IW set, it is akin to Return of the Jedi being a satisfying conclusion to the original Star Wars trilogy, but it is still a step down from the superior Empire Strikes Back.
