Aye it could have been a lot better than it was considering the storyline.

Sleepaway Camp - Classic cheesy, poorly acted 80’s slasher film. Some cool kills and a mental twist at the end. Worth a watch.

Calibre - Highly recommend this. Two mates go hunting in the Highlands, * hits the fan and the rest of the film is tense and full of paranoia. Fantastic acting throughout. Tony Curran is great in everything I’ve seen him in.

Generally, this was pretty decent fun. A combination of a movies like Big or 13 Going on 30 (teenagers waking up in * bodies etc) and a superhero movie. Although thought it could have provided a few more chuckles given the premise, it still manages to deliver. Mark Strong clearly had a ball being the villian. It is a little odd that this film has been released now given that it takes place at Christmas time - and it was very evidently made with the intention of this being a Xmas movie, but for whatever reason DC elected to push Aquaman then and push this back, so that does make it feel a little odd, coming out at Easter.

It's not a gamechanger in the genre but it's not the worst either - it's fine for what it is, even if it is a bit overlong.

    The Sisters Brothers

This was a really odd movie. A tale of dichotemies, you could say. Quirky at times, some moments worth a chuckle but this is not a Blazing Saddles or Million Ways to Die in the West type comedy Western. Set in the early 1850's at the height of the gold rush fever in America, the Sisters Brothers (Charlie and Eli) are gunmen, kinda chalk and cheese characters, working with a detective on the trail of a chemist, who has a formula for how to find gold. The film centres around these 4 main characters and the performances of the 4 leads are quite good, but it is not an easy film to like or gravitate to. While it has it's texture and gravitas, it's also just a really odd movie - the type that leaves audiences scratching their heads trying to work out why the critics love it so much, you know?

Loved it. Probably the most kid friendly comic book movie that’s been put out but it probably had one of the darkest scenes in it.

Thought Shazam was just average, I just don’t seem to enjoy the DC films as much as Marvel, the Marvel films just seem that extra bit of magic.

    The Town (2010)

Ben Affleck directed and stared in this, really good film about some bank robbers, one of them starts questioning all of it after a heist were they capture a girl and he starts to think with his * rather than £££, rest of group and they're owner so to speak aint impressed, very good film and not a boring moment
