    Aye.

Most underrated actor about for me. Crowe is probably the best actor on the planet for me. Don't think I've ever seen him not knock it out the park.

I was thinking it was a bit of a tedious/predictable watch but it comes to life in the last half an hour. 7/10.

    Ex Machina.

First time I'd watched it. Weird and pretty creep tbh, but different.

I could kind of see how it was going about 20 mins in.

    It was good, aye.

How long did it take you to kind of 'see where it was going' though? The only bit I kind of got * at was the ending.

As in I knew that he was gonna fall for 'her' etc and that Isaac was up to some weird *, and also that the Japanese 'maid' was a robot too. I originally thought she would be the real focus of the experiment but then that wouldn't have made sense with one of the title characters being Ava. However I didn't see Ava completely setting him up, I only clicked onto that when it actually happened, as silly as it sounds. She even played me the wee cow.

Oscar Isaac is a great actor, and singer funnily enough.

Yeah I'm the same as you. Had an idea where it was going but her * him over was a surprise. Could tell from the get go that something wasn't right with Oscar Isaac's character, weird *.

The scene with him dancing caught me off guard. I was pishing myself:giggle1:

Aye really weird. Gleeson was a weird * as well. Although she was a pretty fit robot she is still a feckin' robot, why chuck away everything for that:56:

Good film, though. Not usually my scene but it popped up on Netflix and thought why no.

    The Promise

This was odd. As a rule I always like historical films but there was something a little off about this one. A love triangle set to the backdrop of massacres and genocide made for a bit of an unbalanced tale and the film suffers because of it.

Guardians of the Galaxy, vol 2

This was good. By far, of the 'big budget hollywood blockbuster' films released this year thus far, this was easily the one enjoyed the most. Was already a fan of the first film, but I actually enjoyed this one even more. For a sequel, how rare is that? Can't comment about the SPFX etc, but for a popcorn movie, this was a lot of fun. Will be checking it out again.

    Nocturnal Animals. 7/10

Good film. Had to look at what the ending meant because at times it was hard to grasp what was real time and what was the story.

    127 Hours 5/10

Didn't enjoy it. Wasn't great imo.

Him, Chris Pine and Ben Foster are reuniting for a Robert the Bruce movie.

    * loved HOHW. Ben Foster was unreal, as usual. Should've got an oscar nomination.

Everyone in * or Highwater was great. Jeff Bridges was his usual brilliant best as well. Well written, well directed, well acted. Definitely one of the best of last year.

i liked chris pine in it as well, though he didnt say much.think it added to the edginess of his character laidback, quite, stoic like but just as crazy & nutty as his brother,in total control of his emotions.

loved the dialogue between jeff bridges and the other cop too.
