Saw this a couple of years ago, very good film, not at all what I was expecting.

    Green Zone..

Before I watched it I had the gut feeling it's one of those films where you can take it or leave it , and that it wouldn't leave a lasting impression , and I was right..

I like Matt Damon , although I gave all the Oceans and Bourne stuff a miss..
This film is fairly bland , it centres around the WMD's in Iraq and whether the information released was correct or fabricated by the US government.. The plot is that Damon (Sgt Miller) is searching for the truth , which turns him into a bit of an outcast in the US army.. There's a few shooting scenes to keep the trigger happy folks interested , but it's kinda predictable from the hour mark which way the film is going to end , which leaves 45 minutes of going through the motions when it could have been done in about 5.. There is a really funny part in the film about 40 minutes in that lasts for about 20 seconds , and had me thinking there might be more of the same to come but it straightened out after that , and for me , the first 40 minutes was when the film peaked.. A film of two halves..

Shutter Island - Wasn't sure on it at first but ended up really enjoying it. Don't think I'd watch it again now I know what happens though.

Watched Dog Soldiers yesterday as I'd seen a few people on here recommend it. Decent enough flick, and I had a wee chuckle at the "I hope I give you the *" line in the movie.
