    Watchmen was a masterpiece.

    I tried to watch the Watchmen but couldnt get into it at all, gonna have to give it another go as I've been told my many that its a great movie.

    It's basically deconstructing the comic book movie genre.

    The reason the Comic was groundbreaking was because it came at a time where censorship and everything was taking over comic books and it was basically everything a comic shouldn't be.
    It's like when someone who's never read a comic before tries to read it, they might think it's a great story or like the artwork etc. might not get the big the deal about it but the context of when it came and what was around then makes it incredible.

    The film is a classic IMO. Love Zack Snyder's visual style. Makes a difference when you get all these * Marvel movies every few months that look like a high budget tv show.
