    Few people said that about hartson at the time and they 3 strikers fitted in and got us to a euro cup final just never know how it will work out well their us a difference the system under O'Neil fitted 2 strikers but from Wat I hear borini can play in a front 3

    a think borini would do a cracking job up here,rodgers knows him well and i believe he will get best out of him.much would he cost though.?

    Samaras, despite his faults, was an international forward with experience of scoring crucial goals at the highest level for both club and country.

    I think it's bold to say Borini is a much better player.

    Even to say he is 'much better' than Griffiths for example, id like to see if he can replicate anywhere near the same form Griff has here.

    After watching Griffiths in training today as well, that left peg takes some beating.

    I'm struggling to see what many are seeing in Borini.

    Didn't he fall out with Brendan when at Liverpool ? Considering the way Brendan talks about players he got on with (Allen, Sterling) I could see a falling out with him being enough to kill this move.

    His wages wouldn't be huge either as every player at Sunderland has a relegation clause that drops their wages by 50% if they go down.
