    Problem is there are many clubs interested in him. For instance Lazio, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover. Not sure whether we can convince him to choose us over big clubs from Italy-Germany (Eintracht will play in the Europa League next season).

    Well we will never * know if we don’t even make a bid, if his release clause option is true them we should be at least trying to tempt him. But * it Lazio and Eintracht are interested let’s just stick with Jozo.

    No brainer for me.

    Thought Compper would be good for us but I was worried slightly when looking at his wiki page when he first signed. Thought he would have played more games than he had.

    Think he has had a history of injuries and that doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.

    What’s that two or three injuries since he has been here?

    Plus I have never been filled with confidence anytime I have heard Brendan talk about him.

    Always sounds like he was brought here to help the younger members of the squad which is madness if true, especially when we already have Kolo here for that reason!

    The problem with punting Compper is you have to find someone to equal his salary despite him playing less than 5 games last season. He is a 33 year old who is injured.

    Probably not but I think for the price it would be an absolute bargain.

    We would be crazy not to go for it when he would instantly be a step up from what we have, plus the fee isn’t exactly breaking the bank plus his wages can’t be that high at Deportivo.

    If we don’t even attempt going for him at that price it’s criminal. If we go for him and he goes somewhere then fine.

    Im holding out hope for this one. The guy has a good pedigree. I like to think that behind the scenes we are submitting bids for him. Just to make me feel better about our current situ.

    Although i know we are probably scouring man citys youth teams for wingers or a striker.
