    I think I am right in saying Burnley will want Southampton beat as them winning the cup is the only thing that would stop them qualifying for UEFA cup by coming 7th int league.

    I didn't know it was a rule that literally any contact with a keeper when he is off the ground is a foul. That is ridiculous. Keeper's can jump into folk and will get a foul.

    VAR is *. They make the rules up as they go along.

    They basically just said you can't touch the keeper..

    It's a contact sport....although that's largely dying out..

    Utterly bizzare that if 2 people go for a ball, only the outfield player get's punished for contact..

    There was nothing in it whatsoever..

    It makes no sense if that is a rule. Every former player, Gerrard, Lampard, Jenas and Hoddle said it is not a foul but Poll said any contact is a free kick. That means that if the keeper is at the front post and the ball is lobbed to the back post for a simple header if the keeper taps some player at the front post on the shoulder the goal would be disallowed :43:

    The one that wound me up the most recently but still divides people is the challenge Neuer made on Higuain in the WC Final. I mean he completely took him out. That kind of contact would never be allowed by an outfield player.

    Then there was the infamous Schumacher challenge years ago when a foul wasn't even given. The forward was knocked unconscious and lost 4 teeth I think.

    Winds me up that there's one rule for outfield players and a different one for keepers.
