What teams are we able to draw? I’m assuming we won’t get anyone who finished top of their group?

 

Sounds like it, just means, knowing our luck we will get the hardest draw possible as from the four best cl 3rd placers alone there is some serious teams dropping, we’ve got no chance of drawing Dortmund though as they are currently on 2 points and win takes them to 5 so they got no chance of being in top 4 3rd place teams

 

Of the CL drop outs we there is a possibility of drawing any of the following

CSKA Moscow
Atletico Madrid
RB Leipzig
Sporting CP
Napoli
Spartak Moscow



and teams that could possibly fall out of CL 2nd place into seeded position for Europa

Sevilla
Porto
Shaktar Donetsk

Shocking performance last night, but have faith we will up our game come Febuary. Am sure we will get in 2 decent signings in Janaury what Brendan wants, Brendan gets. We have no reason to skimp as we have Champions League 2 years in a trot and any investment is going towards a good Europa run and another Champions League campaign next year. The Europa is different beast to the Champions League its underdog country so fancy our chances with the likes of Arsenal, Napoli etc. Brendan is an ambitous man he will want that trophy.

 

I think over 2 games in knockout football we can beat of the teams, not going to b easy but definitely possible. Hope we make a couple of solid defensive signings because our midfield and attack can cause every team a problem.

We would depend on a miracle for that to happen, but there would be a chance.

We would only have achieved 6 points total.
The lowest ranked seeded team from CL drop outs are Sporting CP who have 7pts

 

That softens the blow of losing, slightly. Would have been much better for us if we had been seeded, but we can only hope for a decent draw now.

 

No, that's not right. With a win yesterday, the highest we could conceivably have been was 5th (of 8 CL dropouts), and even to get there we would have needed both Napoli and Spartak to lose badly enough today to overcome our 14 and 16-goal deficits to them in GD (minus whatever we would have won by yesterday).

We would have locked up 7th, not that that matters.

Just to be clear, even Sporting may not wind up seeded.
