    10 games in and imagine what he will be like after he and the team settles with a new manager and incoming players etc..

    Nothing against brown but this guys got captain written all over him and I think we have seen the best of brown unfortunately but times change and we need a shake up and that includes the captaincy after the * that's gone on this season.

    ERIK Sviatchenko achieved hero status at his previous club in Denmark and the Celtic star hopes to carve out a similar career at Paradise.
    Over the course of 10 years, the defender rose from academy prospect to first-team captain at FC Midtjylland and was embraced by the club’s fans.
    Even after his departure to join the Scottish champions in January, the 24-year-old maintained his strong relationship with his homeland club and its support and he recently donated a sum of money to his former side for a fan display at an upcoming match.
    The Hoops stopper said his time in Denmark helped him realise the importance of a strong link between a club’s players and supporters and said he hopes to foster the same kind of relationship he had in Denmark with the faithful followers of Celtic.
    “I always dream about having a good status at a club,” he said. “I like to be in different projects and progress. Since I’ve come here, I’ve grown. I like the club, the people, the city and the country so why not do my best to perform for the club.
    “What happens in the future happens, but I can see myself being here for a long time.”
    Sviatchenko’s early form for the Celts and his humble post-match appreciation of the support has been welcomed by the club’s fans but he has quickly learned that it takes more than good performances to make an impression at Celtic.
    The pressure and demand to succeed at the Hoops is unparallel in Scottish football and although the defender said he knew what to expect before joining the club, the reality of the situation can still take time to get used to.
    “I haven’t been surprised but sometimes you can be overwhelmed by going for something good but it’s not good enough,” he explained. “The expectations are great and as a player you want to be the best and you have to put the bar up high and rise to that.
    “I came in from pre-season with only two weeks of training to play almost every game. I have been happy with my start and I see I’m getting more comfortable with how we want to be as a team and I can only see me being better in the next season.”
