Mental that Liverpool have waited so long to win the League and yet are going to do it so easily now and probably underwhelmingly, they probably expected it to be close and for there to be massive games and massive pressure and mad relief when the game they finall clinch it.

But with 13 games to go and they could probably play a Reserve side for the reamining games and will still win it, probably only need 3 wins and could lose the other 10.

How many more points do Liverpool actually need?

 

Officially 18 points but in reality you'd be surprised if Man City even got about 80 points now. The League is gone and I dont think any of their players have won the CL so they will turn their attention to that.

 

Bergwijn’s goal was a cracker.

 

They have that Laporte back now I think, he will just be getting back up to speed in 3/4 weeks when they play the Last 16. Leroy Sane due back also for the end of the season.

I think Liverpool might win it again, they seem to have the right mix of pace and defensive ability. All the other teams now aren't at their best, Barcelona are slow as *, Real Madrid inconsistant, Juventus are decent, Dortmund have come into form but they're playing PSG who are maybe the 2nd favourites to Liverpool so one of them are going out. Bayern are a bit ropey now.

It's became weird the last 2/3 years where historically dominant teams who used to be miles better than everyone all seems to be struggling or on their last legs, Liverpool are the only team now who perform like the best teams of 3/4/5/6/7/8+ years ago. All the other teams seem tired and dont have any spark about them.

Liverpool seem to have peaked as a team exactly at the right time where all their other rivals are struggling, both domestically and in Europe.

With the league now being an absolute canter for them it will allow them to focus on Europe aswell, whereas if they had a genuine title challenge they'd have maybe sacrificed Europe.
