Pleased for Lambert, felt for him during his days as Villa boss, felt it was an incredibly difficult task considering how Villa just weren't spending the money they were during MON's reign. Think there's a good manager there, hope he does well at Stoke.

That Man City side can score lovely goals. A trademark of Peps teams.

Marco Silva sacked from Watford! Never been the same since he was heavily linked with Everton.

    Good manager though, rate him.

Just heard the news about Marco Silva getting sacked by Watford. They have had a poor run of form but weren’t they 5th place earlier in the season? He had them playing some really good football. Maybe his head has been turned with the Everton interest but I don’t see who they will get that will be better. Turning down £15 million from Everton and now sacking him is madness. Still think Watford would have been good enough to survive with him in charge despite the recent run of form.

@ScouseHoops Silva instead of Big Sam? You won’t have to pay £15 million for him anymore.

    They wont punt Allardyce already.

Can see Silva at Southampton in the near future.

Watford have had 7 managers in 5 years. Their owners are * lunatics who deserve to be relegated.

It’s unlikely but if I was an Everton fan I would rather Silva than Allardyce.

Everton clearly rate him when they were willing to pay £15 million for him and now they could get him for nothing.

Everton haven’t exactly had a great run recently themselves. Not saying that Sam deserves to get sacked because of that but Silva was obviously first choice. It would still be cheaper to pay Big Sam off and get Silva, it wouldn’t cost anywhere near the £15 million they were offering Watford and they would get their man.

If Everton paid off Big Sam and got Silva I could honestly see Allardyce going to Watford.

I wonder if Silva would be willing to wait until the summer for the job.

Think he'd be a good fit for them.

After hearing Watford’s statement they suggested the decision came after recent form and “interest from premier league club”.
Sounds like his head was turned after the Everton interest. I think he would take it in the summer if given the oppurtunity.

However I don’t think he will still be available in the summer. I think he will be snapped up quickly by someone because he is highly rated and was doing a great job earlier in the season. I’m sure they were around 5th at one point which is pushing well above their weight for a club like Watford.

I would take him. Been treated harshly and deserved backing. Mourihno is a big fan of his. I would prefer Fonseca though who i reckon is in with a shout of winning the CL with a 2017 treble winning Shaktar side.

This is another reason i think the EPL is *. No continuity at all. Its like a soap opera one story line to the next. The amount of average teams in there is ridiculous. I genuinely cannot believe Everton are 9th. Its actually a joke. Jonjoe Kenny had our first shot in FOUR games and a guy we never gave a locker to equalized at Goodison (all Vs WBA)

Lookman never even made the bench and i can see Bolasis being punted next year so if Celtic/Brendan wants to wobble Sams head with a few pints of wine for two good wingers, he should get on the phone for some loan deals.

English teams are reaping what they sew. Clubs turning into basket cases and owners acting like egotistical maniacs when it comes to managers all in the name to avoid relegation and make billions.

Watford's owners are well within their rights to do what they've done. Is it very ethical? No chance, but this is what English football has become. Tough titty to anyone who doesn't like it. This is what they've created and it's only going to get worse.

    Get it right up them.

    Peak Liverpool.

Beat Man City 4-3, and follow it up with a 1-0 defeat against Swansea.

    Never change.
