England firsters such as Paul Merson and Phil Thompson should shut up and take notice, Marco Silva has got Hull looking far more tactically coherent than they ever were under Phelan and it's only taken a fortnight.

According to the Daily Mirror Ryan Mason may have a fractured skull with bleeding on his brain and is fighting for his life in hospital. Hope he can come through this and make a full recovery. :shamrock:

Their tweet is getting a bit of abuse.

Seem to be the only place reporting he's 'fighting for his life'.

    Hope they are wrong.

Yeah, hope they're wrong. If not then fair play but exaggerating it for clicks would be low.

There's a JOE.ie article reporting 'fighting for his life' but the link goes to a 404 error, so they've obviously taken it down.

Wouldn't be terribly surprised if it was just overexaggerated click-bait knowing how the media work.

Hull City tell us they're not currently able to confirm national media reports concerning the severity of Ryan Mason's head injury.

It's an action moment from a football match, hardly being disrespectful showing it.

They refused too show the Eduardo leg-break a few years back, it didn't effect the match result in anyway they don't too show it when the lad is fighting for his life in hospital

So yeah it was newspaper pish official club statement

The Club can confirm that Ryan Mason sustained a skull fracture in our fixture at Chelsea this afternoon.

He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he has undergone surgery.

Ryan is in a stable condition and is expected to remain in hospital for the next few days.

Everyone at the Club would like to express their sincere thanks for the excellent and swift care given to Ryan by both the Accident and Emergency department and Neurosurgery Unit at St Mary’s Hospital.

A further update will be issued tomorrow.

I'm glad I never witnessed Ryan Mason's head injury. What a terribly random accident to happen during a game.

I hope he recovers to full fitness and health.

I seen a leg break on YouTube, a game between two German teams. I don't want to see it again but it was horrific because it looked like the player made and over the ball tackle on purpose. I think he had previous too. Should be banned from the game players who do that. The guys leg was in two pieces.

What's the story with Wenger, heard he was pushing an official around?

Edit: Thanks for the update AJ Styles. That's good to hear he's stable and should be out in a few days. :50:

Scummy as * for them to report 'fighting for his life' before the club had even released a statement, turns out he's sustained a serious injury but is stable.

The story is serious as it is, there's no need to blow it up even more.

Fingers crossed for the lad, will be getting the best treatment available.

I'm no doctor, but I'd probably say a fractured skull is more than likely a "life-threatening" injury.

They weren't in any position to say he was fighting for his life, imagine the kind of grief that sensationalism would give to friends/extended family who weren't in the loop. Gutter press.
