    Opening day fixtures....

    Arsenal v Sunderland
    Everton v Man Utd
    Fulham v Norwich
    Man City v Southampton
    Newcastle v Tottenham
    QPR v Swansea
    Reading v Stoke
    West Brom v Liverpool
    West Ham v Aston Villa
    Wigan v Chelsea

Just had a proper look at the fixtures. West Brom A, Man City H, Arsenal H, Sunderland A, Man Utd H. 3 best teams in the league in opening 5 fixtures. Reminds me off when Hodgson had a tricky start too. But bring it on!!

This season Liverpool fans HAVE to be realistic. Man Utd and Man City are guaranteed top 4. Then theres us, chelsea, arsenal and tottenham. I'd be happy with 5th tbh.

Unless you get rid of the overrated players for example Adam, henderson, downing and Carroll I doubt Liverpool will be near the top 4.

If chelsea get the targets they are looking for i think they'll definitely be challenging for the title.

Carroll will be better next season. Give Adam, Henderson and Downing this season or till January to prove themselves or ship them out.

Forgot that Chelsea won the CL :56:and also added Hazard and Marin to a already good squad.

    'Need to be realistic...would take 5th.' :56:

7/8th and cup run for Liverpool this season would be a success.

So who are you saying would finish above us? I firmly believe Rodgers will do a good job.

Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all better than us. That is why i would be delighted with 5th. Even 6th. European football is what we need every season. Obviously the club wants CL football but we shouldn't be too downhearted if we don't get it.

Adam wasn't good enough for a club that no longer exists, he's not good enough for Liverpool. The less said about Henderson the better. Downing is probably the most overrated player in the EPL. 0 assists and 0 goals in the league last season yet he's at the euro's over Adam Johnson. I really can't get my head round that one.

Would say Newcastle too. And Everton have a habit of finishing top 6/7 even though they have a poor squad (compared to Liverpool, Spurs etc). Would also say that Sunderland and Villa have a chance of finishing higher up. A full season under MON and Sunderland could do really well.

City United Arsenal Chelsea Spurs Newcastle Everton. Sunderland if their signings are good too. Rodgers will need time, money and a good clear-out for it to get right.

Half way through a season it would be to late imo last season shows they aren't good enough especially from December till the end of the season.

Carroll is good on his day but isnt good enough to score the goals to take a team into the top 4 far to inconsistent.

No adebayor as well and the way redknapp was treated it could turn out bad for spurs. But they should still finish in the top 6 comfortably it will be close between them and arsenal for fourth again I think.
