Today at Malahide and they only needed a world record fifth-wicket stand of 226 to do it as well.

10,000 Irish fans as well :cool1:

To be fair to England they didn't need all of that amazing partnership from Morgan and Bopara. They put England on a good platform after their shaky start. They won with time and wickets to spare.

It was a mixed feeling watching England and seeing that two of their best players are Irish - Eoin Morgan and Boyd Rankin. On the one hand it's good to see that Ireland is producing players that a top quality side want to steal. On the other it's disappointing that the ICC won't give them test status and allow Irish players to play at the top level for Ireland.

I think Ireland could be just as competitive as Zimbabwe or Bangladesh.

This was great to see. Malahide going to get a major face lift in the next few years.

I think he's taken offence to you calling them 'black *'. Hand him a tissue! :56:

And seriously, this deserves a thread? England are crazy for their cricket. That we managed to beat them at the world cup a couple years ago was remarkable. This, is not.

How dare those imperialist Irish contaminate the US and the UK with their colonialist sports.

aye cos a colonial sport being played in Ireland is much worse than colonialism's most succesful product, namely racism.

sometimes i seriously think you're a right winger's parody of what they imagine a leftist to be

good knock from Morgs and Ravi yesterday, Ireland bowled well the first 15 overs then lost the plot a wee bit during the big 5th wicket stand
