Yes I know you seem to believe it’s easy to go out and get somebody of Tierney quality fs :56:

It hasn’t hurt us domestically. He’s literally part of a defence that’s just went 7 clean sheets in 2 different domestic competitions defensively. That’s not hurting us.

I'm no wanting to make mad excuses but he was roasted first half at the sheep and subbed just before the break and also at Easter Road..

He wasn't trusted at Ibrox and we went with our best midfielder being shunted to left back..

He has came in and done a job. We've been solid enough as a team but he's always my worry. Against better quality he is a standout liability and I wasn't shocked about him being appalling yesterday..

If he starts on Sunday I expect him to be the weak link again and at Tynecastle and so on..

Hopefully Izzy will be out in the summer.
He has been a great servant but with hindsight he should not have come back .

I think a lot of those you’ve pointed out, was tactical decisions from Brendan that * us. The 352 at Easter Road, McGregor at left back with a 19 year old winger up top himself...

Even last night, approaching Valencia as we do St Johnstone. There’s way’s to go about your business.

That’s why I said ‘I thought’ mate. If it was just better options than Hayes or Izzy I fully agree.

Think I said ‘top player’ as a replacement.. and that’s where the debate started.

    Absolutely mate..

It isn't his fault he's here, being picked and exposed under Brendan..

Getting caught out constantly and unable to track back or pass forward last night though was unforgivable..

To last the 90 was staggering..

    Both deserve major criticism..

Sadly given how much Izzy has given to us over the years the above is true and his time at Celtic is past. Until Tierney is truly ready to return including on Sunday at Kilmarnock I think we are better going with Hayes at left back.

He needed either protection (the full defence did) or taken off last night. When used properly, he’s been generally good domestically though.

I can mind a qualifier Ronny done the same thing with Mulgrew, played him left back and expected him to play it like Izzy in his prime did. Just stupid to do. To play Izzy like we would Tierney against * Balencia. Stupid.

I will always love him, been such a good guy for us and he's taken us to heart.

It's sad to see when guys like him a Lustig can't keep up anymore, such good guys.

Need to find someone capable but happy to play second fiddle to KT.

Thing is, who were we gonna play on the left to protect him bar Sinclair last night?

He didn't overlap once but we needed someone to sit in front of him all night. Was never gonna work like that. There's no excuse for him more than once being too slow to get up in line with the defence either..

Wasn't just lack of legs, it was terrible defensive awareness..

He’s been good domestically against a defensive St Johnstone side, the likes of Hamilton, Motherwell and an out of sorts Hibs team. But even in a couple of those games, when he’s asked to defend he looks uncomfortable.

That Aberdeen match showed us where he is, these days. He had an absolute disaster, gave away a penalty and got hooked at half time.

At the time I thought it was a smart signing. But he’s shown that he’s not up to it when it really matters. We need a much better back up for Tierney.

We didn’t have an anchor in midfield after the first 15 minutes, changed it to be flat. Before the change of shape both Christie and Brown were covering.
