    Don't think he is a scare for Europe. Just obviously need better than him - step in Tierney.
    But who are we going to get in for backup left back, who is also European calibre?

    Other than Izaguirre we also havent signed a good left back in decades, last good one signed before Izzy was probably Andy Lynch 45 year ago. Tosh McKinlay was decent other than them all the other best left-backs were actually right-backs Boyd, McNamara, Wilson and Matthews.

    The current situation is probably the best back up left-back we've ever had by some distance.

    Though think guys like fox and Naylor showed some good early promise....but the less said the better ha.

    “I have one more year with Celtic and they do not want me to leave the team. I have been here for seven years and won 10 trophies, it could be 11 by the end of the season.

    “The coach and manager tell me that they want me to stay, and I will just keep working hard and when I get the chance, I will give it my all.

    “It’s simple, I finish here on May 27, the Cup Final, on the 28th or 29th I travel to Honduras and I have to be back for pre-season with Celtic on June 27 and that is my future.”
