Interesting that we are being linked with older, more experienced defenders.

    Dunno is it's bullshit though?

Similar to Compper but he’s not cup tied and played much more for Beşiktaş who are having a great season. Serbian international as well. I’d be happy with that if we get a young defender in too.

Wouldn’t say HITC is a link, isn’t he that spurs fan that try’s to plug his blogs on here a while back?

We’d do well to pry him away from Where he’s at

3 league goals already in 12 games. Played all 6 games in champions league. He’a probably on a decent wage already too.

I’d take him if we could get him

I think that was always going to be the case, few months back when Rodgers got asked about strengthening the defence he replied there’s not many Kolo Toure’s kicking about.

You know, and I’ve just realised how important he actually was for the team last season, even if he barely played after New year.

Think it was clear for all to see (or those who actually used their brains and thought about it) why Toure was coming to Celtic - wasn't necessarily to be a first team player and play every single game, but here to use his vast experience and help mould the young players - which is proven he has.

Much the same as big Majstorovic - partly due to his input was the reason for Wanyama reaching the heights he has.

You can have all the talent you want in the world, but there's nothing that compares to experience.

    * right, every half time Wanyama was out on the pitch with him, challenging for headers, big man showing him how to use his physicallity. Sometimes joined by Mjallby.

Used to love watching that, was interesting as *.

I dont know what this has to say for the types of players we are targeting, both Tosic and Kommper are quickly approaching the tail end of their careers and and are pretty average at best... surely we need to be aiming higher than that

Always mind watching him, Majstorovic and Mjallby working very very closely in the warm up (mostly because they used to do most of their work in the corner where I sat) - Maj and Johan pretty much teaching this young guy how to defend, use his power and intercept balls in the air.

Was really fascinating to watch actually, paid more attention to that than the shooting warm up.

That and Stevie Woods with Fraser Forster, constantly working away on small things.

    Yip.

That's why we honestly cannot underestimate the work that Rodgers is doing here. He is one of the greatest man-managers around, and his legacy as Celtic manager is going to be here well after he's left.

Good player and would be happy if he joined, however and i dont doubt Rodgers for a second, hes 33 next month, getting on a wee bit! Still if Rodgers thinks * do the job and if we are actually in for him which i doubt because the press are * useless * then lets hope he does the job!

Good player, would be a good signing. More importantly I'd sign him just to have his Mrs cut about Glasgow.
