They should make better use of the loan market. We'd probably have loaned them Scott Allan in January if they wanted him since we'd never have gave him to Hibs and he'd probably have went just to get games.

If United rebranded themselves by embracing their history and where they came from it would make them more attractive to investors and advertising. They are unfortunately currently a no mark club and as Hibs have returned to their Irish roots and it has worked in their favour. Still soup taking * but United should remember where they came from and put it to the front. If a football team can’t embrace their history and are possibly embarrassed by it then that says more about the city and country they ply their trade. As we know too well.

Shankland should be a good signing for them at that level, and if they can get May on loan from Aberdeen, you'd imagine those 2 would be among the top scorers in the Championship this year. Reynolds decent signing as well for that level. Hope they go up, definitely improved since Neilson came in.

Just saw they released Nesbitt and Fyvie though, thought they'd have been players you'd want to keep for a promotion push.

Don’t think Nesbitt done much for them. * looked a player in our youth teams as well.

Just hasn't filled out. He's always been a fantastic talent technically, but he's so lightweight.

I'd like to see them back up, we've had some good games against them.

I think the club have been in freefall since the death of auld Eddie Thompson. Then the tragedy of losing his son in law within a week left the family in turmoil and feeding into the club. I have a bit of respect for United and we’re a brilliant side in the 80s. Should have went forward Instead of back.

I honestly think Dundee United is the team that needs to go up if this league is to become better and have more/better sponsors. I would much rather them to go up than Ross County.

I would also like Dunfermline in the league instead of Hamilton and their embarrassing "stadium".

Yeah, I'm not downplaying their success. My post was more of a better-alternative and nothing more than hypothetical scenario.
