Do You Think We Will Qualify?

Its funny saying Salzburg are the best team in the group when any of thier players who look good get sold to Leipzig , but they definitely looked the better team and we have our work cut out again , forget about rosenborg in the section although we have to give a good performance next game over there to get 3pts.

 

I don't like that it's not really in our hands, winning both of our last two games will surely be enough though. Maybe?

 

If Salzburg turn up they will beat Leipzig again, I just want us to beat Rosenborg and go into the last game hoping we can still do it. But even at home a result against the Austrian side will be something else given their recent European pedigree.

 

Play with the same passion and confidence as last night, then yes. The position we're in though we need other results to go our way(?)

If we do, it will have been done imposing our own game on quality opposition, which for me is far more sweeter than modifying your game to get through..

I know we had some injures ( which obviously couldn't be helped), however I wonder if some of those that were so desperate for us to rest players in Germany as they were so bothered about Hearts are partly reassessing their view with how the group is playing out ?

 

When your in a group CL or Europa all you can do is look to win your home games , and we have collected 6pts out of 6.
anything we get on our travels is a bonus gotta be looking to take 3pts in Rosenborg though, then take it to the last game 12pts would be a great return.

Salzburg will have to beat Leipzig as they will probably think both Leipzig and Celtic will beat Rosenborg.
They wont want to risk us beating them if Leipzig beat them.
Be stupid if they think otherwise.

Not sure if I’m right but from what I gather Salzburg’s best players go to RBL? Surely they would want to impress them and win a move, more money ect.. plus they look just as good as RBL anyway. And a lot think of Salzburg as there wee team out the two so it’s jusy natural for them to want to prove them wrong.

 

I'm worried about this RB thing too, although my Bro was saying with the Germans taking their better players there's a bit of animosity there, not sure how accurate that is.

If they get a draw as said I'll think something is going on.

Although we could do a Celtic and * up against Rosenborg, lol, but we are looking good.

 

Red bull have Salzburg tipped as their Europa league winners and Leipzig to go for the title seen as Bayern look weak this season, think it will come down to what we do tbh

We should be getting through this group quite easily and almost made a meal of it thus far.

If the team play it their full potential and defend well we should claim 6 points from the final matches. Problem with the Europa is you have to make the quarters before people get really excited. Not to mention make any decent money.

 

Indeed, specially the Salzburg Fans are fedup of being a farm team for Leipzig. On fan level they are certainly not many friends. But the players obviously see Leipzig and the Bundesliga as a steppping stone in their career. So i cant see any players not followihg orders by RB. As well up untill 16months ago the Leipzig manager was football director of both teams... apparently behind the scenes hd is still very much involved in Salzburg too. Even if the Salzburg manager wishes to rest some players against us, he might possibly be ‘forced’ to field a top team against us if it helps Leipzig. All very much speculation, but with the closeness of both teams not a crazy scenario.

 

We got one of the hardest groups possible. How anyone can think we should qualify easily is beyond me. What an achievement it'll be to qualify out this group.
