What do we really expect from a country entangled in a war we are fighting? You'd have to imagine that some of those players on the field and their top brass are sympathisers with those we oppose. Just because they kick a football around, and aren't in Raqqa enforcing sharia law doesn't mean they don't sympathise.

Haven't heard anything to suggest so, but there must be concerns regarding Australia and their participation in future AFC competitions/World Cup quals. * taking a bus load of high profile, high paid international footballers to places like Syria and Iraq!

Wouldnt surprise me if the Saudis get the 2022 World Cup after FIFA decide to cancel the Qataris bid.

Wonder if a minutes silence would be respected at an England or USA game, for victims of a bombing in Iraq or Syria.

I live in England and people here have a lot of sympathy for the Syrian people as they did for the ordinary Iraqi's when Blair's sham war was in full swing.

 

Aye, some will obviously but not all of them. Guessing there's a fair share of guys that follow England that wouldn't have any sympathy at all. Infact, I would hazard a guess that there's a good few that would be in the 'bomb the lot of them' camp.
