    Just wondering what every thought of this one. Out of all Mowbrays signings (inc. Keane and nguemo) I felt this guy had a future at the club. Remember being slightly gutted he moved on. Could he have have a good career with us?

    At the time I thought he was pretty decent. Thought he could have been a good player for us if we kept him for longer.

    Sorry to be pedantic but you’ve spelt both his first and his second name incorrectly! :74:

    Yeah, I actually thought he was decent and could have been a great player for us if bought permanently. I think when Lennon took over though, he wanted to build his own team from fresh. Meaning that many of Mowbray’s signings had their days numbered from the off.

    As his loan spell was set to expire, Kamara revealed he wanted to stay at Celtic permanently and that he would happily stay on at the club under interim boss Neil Lennon after the sacking of Tony Mowbray. Kamara revealed that he set his sights on securing a permanent deal at the club and described it as his 'priority' to stay at Celtic. However the move never happened, as Celtic decided not to pay the £2.5 million buyout clause in his contract. Kamara returned to Fulham and set his sights on a move to his boyhood club PSG.

    Mowbray had a few mercenaries in the squad. Kamara had bags of talent and showed it in spells. But like most of that team, when the chips were down they weren't interested. Much like the boss.

    Was at the game at Tannadice we won 2-0. Kamara and Keane with the goals. Was a good day out on the * that day for me and a great performance overall from a team which had struggled but was starting to turn the corner under Lennon. Despite how the league went, I loved that season for the fact I spent most of it in a drunken daze. Wee bit of nostalgia when the likes of Kamara and others get brought up.

    Loved his goal celebration as well.

    To be fair 2.5 million was awrite price tag for him to pay for him ovb using g that money to buy hooper though was the right decision
