    Riordan?

    As we all know he didnt have the best of times at celtic and their was a lot of speculation as to why. Do you think he was/is good enough for celtic?
    Whats your take on why he never got a game?
    And given he is out of contract now would he be worth another shot? Personally i think he would make for better cover than the likes of rass and murphy all though they are completly different players.

    Strachan admitted he was the best finisher at the club, but still refused to play him. He was never really given a chance, because Strachan didn't seem to like him.

    No thanks!!!!!! Far too much baggage for a start & secondly, we really only need players that are goinmg to be an improvement on the ones we already have... does Riordan really fit into this catagory?

    what a player riordan is, really liked him when he was at celtic but strachan never gave him the chance.

    I wouldnt have Riordan back even though he is a good player smaller clubs like Hibs etc are the sort of level he can only play at plus he goes about on saturday nights acting like a * gettin banned from all sorts of night clubs.......

    wouldnt have him back but i'd say if he starts to mature a bit with age and joins a club with a manager who can manage him he'll shine.

    This post sums it up for me.

    Really liked Riordan as a player - he had that instinctive football brain and awareness that Aiden sometimes seemed to lack. And it used to frustrate me that he got so few opportunities under GS.

    But at the same time, I pretty much knew fine well why that was - which is where the idiot-off-field bit comes in. Similar reason Bobby Petta dropped off MON's radar about 5 or 6 years previous I reckon. Not enough going in his ears, & too much going up his nose...

    great player but a total waster even though I happen to think that if wee sarcastic baws had given him a 10 game run in the team it might have given him a chance to shine and screw the nut, but he didnt help himself at all and as such he is history

    A player with a bags of natural ability, I heard he was/is a terrible trainer and I believe that's why he never got much game time for us.

    In my opinion he'll be a guy who in a few years will realise he could have got so much more from the game if he had been more dedicated in what he done
