    We will no doubt push for a new deal but I really hope Rodgers is looking at bringing in a quality/experienced CB.

    It would be pretty unacceptable if we went into another season without freshening up that area.

    Whether he would be playing alongside Boyata or not.

    Someone who has played first team football at a decent level for at least 4 or 5 seasons. Or failing that has been playing for a big club in a smaller league, In a similar situation to ourselves.

    Anything really. I'm not fussed. As long as we deem them good enough. Experience doesn't necessarily have to someone approaching their early 30s either.

    Someone like Fabian Schar would have been perfect.

    He had a good World Cup but didn’t get picked as soon as Kompany was back. Let’s also remember that he played an England B team and two of the worst sides in the tournament. Boyata is good enough for us domestically but we all know he’ll have one of his concentration lapses again.
