That’s the problem though mate, we used to say the same about Efe, if it wasn’t for the * up’s he’d be good.

Boyata’s our centre back that’s the best at defending for me, he also is the one that is the worst because of his concentration.

Aye but he did mate and he does often. In Europe where possession it everything it's suicidal to give the ball away where he did. We were lucky not to be punished..

Which of our players don't make * ups though, mate?

I'm not saying Boyata is a CL level cb because he isn't. But I don't think he's a bad defender.

I agree that we need better if we can find it.

When was the last time he made such big errors? Genuine question as I can't remember.

He tends to do it more than most and I’m a fan of his. He’s the most well equipped defender for that level that we have but can also be the biggest liability.

Played no worse than Simunovic who was constantly caught out, passing is the only thing Simunovic does better.

I'm never comfortable with him bringing the ball out from the back tbh.. St.Mirren last year marked everyone and just allowed him to have the ball. It worked at treat as he rarely competed a successful pass in the first half of that game. So even a lower league Scottish manager identified that weakness in his game and exploited it.

It doesn't take a genius to identify where we're weak, press us high and our CBs and GK will provide you with possession.

Really hope it gets rectified in this window. And in the meantime Ajer is given the opportunity to prove his worth. As he seems to have all the attributes needed just needs a wee run.

He's not a bad defender but refuse to believe we could not do better even without looking that hard.

In fairness to him as well Jozo has been nowhere near the level required this season either most of the time.

I'm having doubts over Jozo at the top level as well tbh.

If Erik is fit he should now be given the chance, Boyata is back to his bombscare best

Very rarely see a player who can be both excellent and terrible in the same game. Very inconsistent player. Missed an absolute sitter at the end.

    get a grip mate, seriously!!

ps- he is a bombscare though and i think he's that bad passing from the back it is undoubtedly taking the heat of the guy beside him who himself has gone off a bit!!

Score that header at the end and no one even talks about their comeback.

    * knows how he missed that.

Was I watching a different game? Though that apart from a couple of * passes (standard Boyata) he was very good. Solid and constantly making vital interceptions.

Really should have scored at the end, though.

He was poor today. A number of hospital passes continuing the trends of shiteness from Tuesday night.
