    I know they do but its not like we haven't being paying them for the last few years ffs. If you want to go down the route of analysing every penny we spend, which you appear to be trying to do, then make sure you add everything we bring in as well. Remember we were breaking even before the extra money we got. Good ST sales and good sponsor deals etc have boosted the coffers. We've already had two good crowds extra in the qualifiers and a almost £2m boost from Uefa just for being in the play off round.

    Season tkt money covers players wages and sponser money.the fans deserved a signing to get us excited after all we spend thousands on the club each year.the board are kidding us on they think we are all simple.
    20mill player sales
    24 mill champs league money
    17 mill guaranteed this year champ league money
    That makes 61 mill
    Transfers this year 11 mill
    Bank 50 mill
    Enough said
    We will get a few hidings in the champs league this season.

    We might not have as good a squad as last year, but we've taken much worse squads into the Champions League and have never had a "hiding".

    We don't NEED a goal scorer with a track record of finding the net. You can always defend really well and get ties, or sometimes the opposition will even bang in an own goal.

    Those don't cost anything. Free goals.

    Meanwhile, we're compounding interest on our portfolio, fist-pumping to "Chelsea Dagger." YOLO, baby. There's no pleasing some of you. :52:

    Considering years we don't make the Champions League or sell anyone, we don't collapse on our *, I think it's fair to say those costs are covered by other income and player sales and champions league money is bonus.
