Can't say I've seen him/remember him over the course of 90 mins. His scoring record is phenomenal though.

Is he more of a number 10 or an Armstrong, driving runs from deep, type?

Beautiful Sunday - the IRA version
Even if it doesn't work out I'm glad we're taking the 'risk'.

Would much rather take a punt (even if it's a few million) and see if he can develop his early promise into something special, than miss out completely to England where he'll be out of price range forever.

I'd say more of a box to box 8. Comes deep to get involved and spread the play. Arrives late and goes beyond the striker to score goals which we miss apart from Christie..

As I say only a slight lack of pace but hopefully he becomes more of an athlete and gains a yard down the line under the likes of Naylor or that..

I wasn't overly bothered spending 3 mill on him but he isn't even really a risk. We know what he can do with a long ball * hoof side in the bottom half for 6 month's. Imagine what he'll do for an attacking side like us on the front foot passing it on he deck..

Domestically he's as sound a signing as we could make. Hopefully he can really kick on and we've signed a gem for more than that though..

Assuming this is completed, good signing. Need to focus on getting the defence sorted now.

I wonder how much it really is? I know Motherwell have made a statement saying it’s more than the previous record ext but they would have to tart it up because the fans are gutted he is going.

I recon around 2.5 million with add ons.

Would be over the moon if we get our business done very early.

Very interesting now to see how we'll line up in centre mid under Lennon. Lot's of options.
This boy a sitter or maybe a 10?

Lessons learned by the board. Fee agreed one day after the window has officially opened. I hope this is an indication of how they are going act going forward.

I’m happy with the signing. Scoring 15 goals for a defensively minded side in your debut season is a great achievement. Look forward to seeing how he progresses with us.

I think we have to take the risk on the very best in Scotland all the time. There will be some don't work out, but they will be balanced by those that do.
I was really impressed by that Porteous at Hibs too. Would love him in the squad.
