I wonder why no-one reacted like this about Lennon. He seems to have been forgiven by the support for his behaviour, why shouldn’t someone else get a second chance?

Not that I’m aware of, but that’s not the only form of abuse. The point is, he’s made some big mistakes too, but the support either don’t care, or have forgiven him.

Putting the off the field issues associated with this player aside for a moment..

Im not for this move. We have money we can spend on bringing in a younger right back who may prove profitable in the long run.

I just cant see it working out. As far as im aware, he doesnt have a club, and as a result he will need approx. Three weeks to get up to match sharpness, when we need a right back who is ready to go now for the qualifiers.
Its a highly unimaginative and uninspired move for me, despite the fact that he does have a premier league title to his name.

With regard to everything else, i do believe in second chances depending on the circumstances but in no way do i condone domestic abuse.
I hope he has done whatever it is to make things right and to correct his behaviour.
Only he who is without sin can cast the first stone.

But for me, id pass on this move and hope we can pull something better off.
