Discuss Daniel Arzani in the Celtic Chat area at TalkCeltic.net.
Daniel Arzani is running again and could be back in the Caltex Socceroos fold before the end of 2019, according to head coach Graham Arnold.
Arzani, 20, ruptured his ACL in November 2018 during his Scottish Premiership debut for Celtic.
It saw the on-loan Manchester City starlet miss the rest of the campaign.
But in a teleconference on Friday, Arnold gave a promising update on Arzani’s road to recovery.
“Daniel is running. He’s pretty much up to training point,” Arnold said ahead of Australia's friendly against Korea Republic on Friday 7 June.
Arnold also said that Arzani would definitely be ready for Australia’s Olympic qualifiers next January.
“As for the Olympic qualifiers… Scotland have a winter break in January, so I do expect [Arzani] to be there
Excited by him.
Had completely forgotten about this lad
The same . Also deVries Hendry Morgan Compper Kouassi Benyu Mulumbu Bayo
are we really expecting him to play this season? Lennon doesn't like loan players
I think Lennon wanted to see what he had with the players he'd have available next season, hence why benkovic, weah and burke didn't get much game time. I expect him to be competing with Sinclair
We've made 16 loan signings in the last 5 years, he'll have to get used to it because the board will no doubt be looking at more.
This was a strange move from the start.
He doesnt have as much natural talent as Roberts and i feel that the deal was a similar one.
With Forrest, Sinclair, Shved and Johnstone, id be surprised if he sees much game time at all.
We took 2 loans from Man City in 14/15
1 transfer and 1 loan from Man City in 15/16
1 loan from Man City in 16/17
1 transfer and 1 loan from Man City in 17/18
1 loan from Man City in 18/19
Think there's an agreement in place.
Probably been asked before but do we have an option to buy at the end of his loan? I'm sure i read it somewhere before when he originally signed but it's been, understandably, quiet since. Could see us extending his loan either way in January if he does good.
There's something about him I just don't like.
No it was the same type of deal as Roberts, with no option to buy.
It’s the ‘tache innit?
Or his username on Instagram
Probably something to do with him flexing a Rolex watch (bought with his Celtic wages) and videos of him laughing in Paris, 5 hours after we had just been beaten by the huns. Personally think he is better than Johnston, but good enough to stall one of our own youth players development for ? nah. If there was an option to buy at the end of his contract I would be a bit more optimistic about his playing time, otherwise were just making man city richer- something that I can't see Lennon wanting to do.
Don't know how anyone can really judge how good he is , he only managed about half an hour
* aussie * manager at it again.
Scotland have a winter break? He expects Arzani to be there?
Fed up up with this wankstain.
Arzani is a waste of a wage. Send him back, only a matter of time before his injury is compounded by that utter * of an Australia manager who thinks hes * Jock Stein.
Also the kid himself is the utter definition of "douche bag".
