It won't happen, nor do I want it to happen in all honesty.

I could see Everton getting him, which is a shame. But Celtic should really go for him. Dembele won't be around forever, and so looking for a suitable substitute (sorry Griffiths) is sensible.

He won't stay in MLS, he's stated that he wants to go to Europe soon.

I'm a ST holder of New York City FC, have attended every home match, been to a fair few away matches as well, and follow MLS closely. With that said, I am not sure that I would want Celtic to pay the rumored fee to bring Larin in. I think Brendan could develop him into a fine SPL striker because of how big and strong he is, but I don't see him ever being CL level and that's what I think we should be aspiring to now (this is why I'd be devastated to see Moussa leave too soon). Larin is still rough around the edges (to be expected at that age) and misses some of the easier chances he should bury but he's a top MLS striker because he is so strong and crafty. He manhandles defenders in this league. Take New York City FC for example, he feasts on NYCFC and has scored something like 10 goals in 8 matches because the defense has been * for all the club's existence (but is improved this season and shut him down last night). He has the tools to be a very good striker in Scotland, possibly the best in a couple years under BR. So, for me it comes down to the fee. Latest rumors here in the States are $5-6 million, which I wouldn't want Celtic to pay. I think $3 million is more likely.

Don't think we are even remotely interested.

Don't fancy it either. Big, raw striker from the MLS who is inconsistent in finishing is putting me off big time.

Just watched this for the first time.

Some of the worst defensive and goalkeeping displays I've seen in my years of watching youtube highlight reels:giggle1:

Had to stop watching that video after a minute and a half. Not one goal he scored he had to really work for. There wasn't a single tackle attempted.

I agree, I would only take maybe 4 or 5 players from MLS who are worth it and Larin isnt one ( Unless to come in as no.3)

Where in the City are you? might come to the supporters club for the cup final.

The NYCSC is on the Upper Westside at The Parlour, 250 West 86th Street. Expecting a big, loud crowd on Saturday and all are welcome.

Dont judge the league atall and i am completely snobby towards the MLS. Unless you are a player thats done something in Europe and go over for the cash like your Dos Santos and Giovinco then I wouldnt touch you with a barge pole.

The ironic thing is it drives me mental when EPL fan boys doing it to the SPL..
