think we should sign him anyway, even though i think dembele will stay for another year.get rid of citftci.give this boy a year to settle then when dembele leaves we have his replacement.yeah i can still see the point in signing this guy even if dembele stays.

I've watched this guy closely as I was in Orlando working for past year. This boy is woeful, no first touch, no composure , no tactical awareness, and is Heskyesque in his finishing. If a Celtic scout has recommended him he needs sacked.

Think Rochdalelad is on the money with this one.

He can finish but he's had a few howlers. Hard to say how he'd fare in Europe but he was linked with Benfica and Sporting a few months back. He needs to improve a lot of aspects of his game but he's still young and is still improving, I'd like to see the move.

Watched him quite a few times in the last year (I've followed AC Milan for years so love Kakà) and must say that the old adage of "raw" is probably the best word to describe him. He's got the makings of a good striker but isn't up to our standards yet in my opinion.

Who are you going to trust though? A Celtic scout, or "rochdalelad" from talkceltic?

Celtic scouts helped us sign Amido Balde and Mo Bangura.

If someone has been watching Orlando play regularly, as he said, then I'd tend to take his word over a scout who happened to tune in for the game he had a stormer or watched a couple of highlight reels.

They might scout for a living, but there's no reason why Joe Bloggs can't form his own opinion and make a better judgment.

Brendan might be the guy to develop, take them from raw and make them class!

Do you honestly think a professional scout "tunes in" to a game or watches highlight reels to make their final judgement?

People can have opinions and share them. It's good to hear them and discuss them. But you can't just claim a scout should be fired for scouting a player, especially when it's paper speculation. How do you know this guy isn't just talking out his *? It's easy to say something in a forum risk free.

You can talk about Bangura, Balde, etc. You can also mention Wanyama, Van Dijk, etc. So that means absolutely nothing.

Can only say what I've seen bhoys. He's rawer than the greenest horse you've ever bet on. Nothing wrong with a bit of drama on the scout :102:

For me and off topic, the perfect fit for Celtic and Rogers would be Forrestieri from Wednesday, but that'd be a hefty transfer fee and not a moneyball signing. We need to start buying the odd finished article.

Forrestieri is a cracking wee player.

But aye, in terms of this guy. I'm unsure. I don't think a striker should be the target anyway, at least until we know for sure Dembele will be off. I can't see that being until after next season.

Cyle Larin would be great signing, IF he does come in i expect 1 or 2 forwards to be off before we sign

i dont think were after this guy to walk straight into the team, this looks like a rogic type signing to me,someone who will take a couple of years to develop, where not looking at what he can do now but his potential.

dont know why your comparing his finishing to heskey, heskey would have been superb up here, and was a really good player in his own right down south.

It's a market we need more exposure to/in.
New Balance would probably like it too.
I do think we need 3 strikers & Ciftci is pish.

Actually watched him play for Orlando against Dallas in July. Guy didn't stand out in that game. But nobody did. Irish football is of a higher standard. Not joking. The coaching there is brutal. Adrian Heath got sacked that day from Orlando manager. And that tool Demarcus Beasley was in defence for Dallas?

Based, solely, on a couple of Youtube videos of him...neither do I.

Seems like a bit of a carthorse.
