In fairness, I can't imagine that the pool of quality RBs is very high in Costa Rica.

I remember the game against Bayern. It must be scary for full backs who are considered pacey when a winger roasts you for speed. Coman was rapid. Same with Mbappe and Tierney. Tierney is very quick but Mbappe was lightning

No shane in it, guy is * rapid and has so much in his locker.
Honestly believe br was tactically naive when i came those games.

Will probably have a decent world cup and leave us all asking more questions about his game time.

If that happens we should sell him and make some money as BR obviously doesnt rate him or has an issue with him.

BEING prepared has been the key to Cristian Gamboa’s inclusion in Costa Rica’s World Cup squad, and now the Celtic defender is focused on performing when it matters most with the tournament’s kick-off just days away.

Competition for places in the Celtic defence limited Gamboa’s playing-time last season but he maintained he was ready to help his country in their bid to navigate a way out of Group E which features Brazil, Switzerland and Serbia.

Gamboa made just three appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side last season yet he still managed to make the Costa Rica squad. The lack of first-team action made his goal of getting into the international set-up that much harder, yet Gamboa’s said the training at Lennoxtown with Celtic ensured he was fit and ready when called upon.

“Every time I get a chance to play for Celtic, I feel I do well, so I know how important it is to always being prepared,” he told the Celtic View. “I want to perform for the national team. It’s always a goal of mine to go to the World Cup which and it is such a big achievement to play in one.

“Right now, I just want to play, be fit and be ready for the national team and for Celtic when the season starts.

“If the team need me in a game, I always make sure I am ready. It was amazing to be part of another treble for Celtic. It was a big achievement in the career of everyone at Celtic and I hope to have more achievements at the World Cup.”

It's just so bizarre to me still.. he seems like exactly the type of player that BR likes. High motor, high work rate, very pacey, seemingly has no ego/personality issues. Wish he was our starting RB.

Against decent side's, his positional sense is * poor..

    Pace sometimes masks it..

He isn't the answer, even if he should've played a bit more domestically when Lustig was struggling..

Always thought he looked good for us but BR obviously doesn't rate him which is strange as he brought him in himself.

wouldnt be too fast in selling him, could be handy if lustig gets injured for qaulifiers.seems to be were lacking decent defenders or have a few injuries for cl qaulification.i like ralston and hope he makes it here.but it always good to have a bloated sqaud at a crucial part of the season, with the money involved for qaulifying.i would trust gamboa against the rosenborgs, astanas of this world.

Gamboa is not a defender and BR doesnt rate him. If the opportunity comes I'd take thr money!

I'd give Ralston the chance but also consider bringing in a back-up.
