He's got a nice gig as Director of Football in Dubai or somewhere. Can't see him giving that up lightly.

Why the * would stevie g be number 2, Rodgers gave stevie his marching orders. Don't get you lot.

Doesn't matter who he brings in probably some old fellas from his previous clubs would be a smart bet

I think the plan will be for the No 2 to become manager when Rodgers leaves (2 or 3 years imo) so hopefully Clarke or the likes.

Naka or Lubo as one of the coaches. Mjällby as assistant maybe?

Rodgers needs to pick his own team. This needs to be the hallmark of his reign. Total control by the manager in the football sphere, he needs to pick his management team & his own players. I'm sure he will involve people who know the club & the environment

I don't think Mjällby will be back. And just because they were good players doesn't mean they will be good coaches. Nakamura is still playing isn't he? Always had an impressions his English wasn't that good either, don't know how well he'd do as a coach

I think people are forgetting the main point here though....can he * coach:smiley-laughing002:

One horrible stint at Lincoln as a manager...no thanks. He is enjoying the punditry gig, let him go.

His attitude and personality is not what we need right now amongst our players.

He had Colin Pascoe at Liverpool and Sean O'Driscoll so I'd imagine one of those guys would come in

I agree that he needs to bring in his own people but im also worried that he will bring the same people in as he has used before and that this will bring with it the frailties that overshadowed his time at LFC, namely defensive shortcomings.

He had Colin Pascoe at Liverpool and Sean O'Driscoll so I'd imagine one of those guys would come in

Brendan brought Pascoe in from Swansea but he ditched him (and Mike Marsh) the last pre-season he spent with Liverpool so I can't see them working together again.

He may go for O'Driscoll who is currently out of work (sacked by Walsall!). He also brought in Gary McAllister (who is currently an ambassador at Liverpool) - not sure if he would want to come as I'm pretty certain he's a fanatic supporter of the Huns.

As others have pointed out - it must be Brendan's decision (as long as the club can negotiate an agreeable deal with whoever he chooses).

People knock the board for foisting Collins on Deila - if that is true, it still shows why Ronny wasn't the man for the job. No self-respecting manager would allow that - the fact that Deila did was a sign of his weakness in standing up to the board.
