It's common knowledge because his brother said he's staying.

End of the day wait and see. I personally don't think he will come now. But Rodgers didn't deny it when asked a while ago. Who knows

He'll milk the good wage Celtics gave him for his entire contract then * off back to Dundee again.

If we get Paddy in I don't think we need him.

Honestly don't think we were ever properly in for him in the first place.

Don't see where he fits in right at this moment, in the summer as perm sure thing as it's unlikely we'll get Paddy on a perm.

As a loan right now he'd be a waste

Would like to see us go back in for this kid, at least on loan but try our luck with a permanent. Got the pace and skill we need and bags of potential. Will at least kick Scotty up the * a wee bit.

That might not be a bad idea, even if it’s only a short-term fix, with Roberts out for a few months.

ANTONIO CONTE has confirmed he will send Celtic target Charly Musonda out on loan next month.

But the Hoops face competition from Roma and Newcastle United as they bid to land the Chelsea wonderkid.

SunSport revealed the 21-year-old Belgian attacker is on Brendan Rodgers’ radar as he steps up his January transfer window plans.

The Celtic boss — without crocked playmaker Tom Rogic until the New Year — refused to be drawn on Musonda.

Rodgers said: “He’s a Chelsea player at this moment, so I have nothing to say on that.”

But Blues boss Conte admitted he will hold talks with the player over a possible loan deal — just weeks after he penned a new five-year contract.

He said: “I’m happy for him because it was right to sign a new contract.

“The club took the right decision on this, as did the player. Then, for his future, the club and the player will take the right decision.”

Roma have a long-held interest in Musonda and came close to landing him on loan last January.

The Italian giants are gearing up for a tilt at the Champions League last 16 and a switch to Serie A could prove attractive.

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez tracked Musonda last summer and is now in the market to improve his squad next month, with Amanda Staveley on the brink of a £300million Toon takeover.

But Chelsea will want guarantees of first-team football — and Celtic could offer that plus Europa League exposure.

The Hoops will bid to make it 70 domestic games unbeaten when they face Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday — but Rodgers expects his side to IMPROVE after their January trip to Dubai.

The Celtic gaffer — who hopes to conclude a deal for 32-year-old defender Marvin Compper from Red Bull Leipzig soon — said: “We will give the players a week with their families to get a breather from football and recover.

“Then we will work very hard in the warm weather and we also hope to have new signings in.

“That will allow us to bond and get together on the training pitch.

“In the second half of the season we will also have more coaching time.

“We will be better in the second half of the season but I need to commend the players for what they have done so far.”
