They lost today, albeit against Brighton who are 2nd behind Newcastle. Looking at the table it will be interesting to see if Reading, Huddersfield, Leeds, and Wednesday can keep up, imo Derby are certain to get in play off zone and eventually qualify, I think this is their year.

I'd love Leeds to make the Play Offs and get promoted.

:50: Big club with huge support. I think they'd bring a bit of excitement to the league. Plus they hate Man Utd and Chelsea so that's another plus :giggle1: Would be amazing if it was Monk who brung them up.

One potential problem is they still have that * mental owner so it is difficult to predict their future with any degree of certainty.

The Italian guy who got done for tax fraud or something?

I thought he said he was going to sell the club to the fans for the price he paid for it. If he sees the kerching of the EPL he won't be selling for cost price that's for sure. I thought he got banned as well. Strange situation with him, I don't think the League know what to do with him. Would be out of order if they did get promotion only to be rejected by the EPL on grounds of unsuitability.

He was banned by the FA for 18 months over dodgy deals with agents, good to see a FA actually do something about 'dodgy' chairman will never catch on up here. :87:

So he was banned but still allowed to remain in control of a club? That's a bizarre logic. But I understand now how he's still in charge. Wouldn't a better punishment for dodgy chairmen be to ban them from having anything to do with any football club associated with the FA forever?

My * he's been banned 3 times by the FA? Why do they keep letting him back? Seems crazy.

Anyway I'm sure he's legit now. The profit he could make if they reach the EPL is enormous. I think he paid £30m for Leeds.

What chairman does the SFA need to sort out? King hasn't done anything illegal as far as I know?

King is a convicted fraudster, I know it wasn't in this country but tax evasion seems a problem with this mob in general, he was also part of the club that was wound up so he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the tribute act.

I would agree anyone who had interests in the old club shouldn't have been allowed near any club again.

It's fascinating that he's the third person who's approached them, said he's a billionaire, promised to fund them so they are the richest and best team in Scotland and then input absolutely nothing. It's just really strange it keeps happening. Like some superior power is ripping the pish out of them.

When I read about the SFA's fit and proper person conditions and their assessment of him I was sure they would have to reject his application to buy them. But it looks like the fans demanded he be allowed to purchase them and fund them so the SFA said ok. There is no way he passes their criteria.

My * that keeper was like an acrobat, stopping everything until big Glen stepped up. Shawfield Wednesday

Feel a wee bit sorry for the goalie though but the pressure was fierce from Wednesday.

Newcastle are pure * holes. I hope Sheffield Wednesday get a few more!

Jeez he was so slow there, turning like an oil tanker. It's surprising how easily Wed are running through the Newcastle defence at times. They are just defending the lead so much there are not enough player commited forward. Hope they win this, they deserve it
