Guess more because we know Bayern and Real are the two favourites. We also know more about Liverpool current form - specially against City. So the general feeling will be that they will be the favourites for that tie. Though Roma will be well up for it. Both teams will look at it as a favourable draw that gives them best chance of a final.

Unfortunately, either way, neither Roma or Liverpool will win it. The winner of Bayern-Real will lift the trophy.

Not that it's a cert they'll beat Roma, but they've definitely got a better chance v Roma than they do against Madrid or Bayern. I'm sure Roma will be happy they got Liverpool too

    Mental.

Liverpool on the other hand have had...

    Porto
    Man City
    Roma

I would give Liverpool the upper hand as I think they’re a much better attacking threat than Roma.

Both probably on par defensively. I’d rate Roma’s midfield as better. Liverpool’s attack is far superior imo and I think they’ll outscore Roma, especially with the first leg at Anfield.

Think this could suit Roma. Anfield for the first leg they can be more defensive and hit on the counter.

Hopefully Roma knock out those *. A Real Madrid vs Roma final would glorious for a few reasons.

Liverpool or Roma in a Champions League final.

Marseille or Salzburg in a Europa League final.

    Nobody would have predicted that.

Have to fancy Liverpool and Madrid to progress.

Hopefully not, though. Roma v Bayern please.

As long as Madrid don’t win it I’ll be happy.

Marseille or Salzburg wouldn't have been so unlikely for a Europa League run surely?

It was a clear as day penalty, no if, buts or maybes. The player tried to make a tackle from behind and got none of the ball and a fair bit of the man. There is no way anyone can say he didn't impede the player with physical contact.

The only mistake he made in this whole situation was not sending off Benetia (who was on yellow) for preventing a clear goal scoring chance. A few other Juventus players should have been shown a red for their behaviour at the end too.

Buffon, if he decides not to retire now, should be banned for Juve's next couple of European games for his comments after the game as well. Even if the ref had made a wrong decision, his comments were beyond the pale.

His manhandling of the ref should also be looked at. No player has the right to do that. He let his team down, instead of staying cool and trying to save the penalty he went mad.

And UEFA should look at Andrea Agnelli too, who claimed that UEFA gives them ref who have things against Italians. Juventus handled this with all the class you'd expect of them... :87:

Nobody is predicting either of them to be in the final at the start of the season.
