    Crap night. Passing was shocking.
Feel for Toure, must be a nightmare with that hanging over you. Hopefully beat them away.

I thought our defenders were struggling to find a pass to our midfielders and at times there looked as if there was no one in the centre of the park Bitton was the biggest culprit but brown was always passing it back when ever he got the ball.

There is only one way of fixing this setback, and that is by Brendan constructing a new midfield three deployment, that is capable of inspiring us to to victory against BMG on their home ground.

Mind JS confusing Inter by playing people out of position in training in 67? Brendan should try the next step and play people out of position in the game for the first 5-10 minutes? BMG can do all the homework they want, but they won't see that coming! I suggest the following:

    Broony
    Rogic Griffiths Forrest Sinclair
    Gordon Roberts
    Toure Sviatchenko Lustig
    Tierney

Rogic will have lots of time to pick out passes from RB, Sinclair and Forrest can use their pace to break from deep, Griffiths won't give their striker a second's peace, Gordon can use his height to mop up any high balls, Roberts has the skill to play that deep-lying playmaker role... Of course they'll adapt after 5-10 minutes, so we'll need to switch back to normal after that. Could be like the tactical equivalent of the sonic attack plan. What do you reckon, Dr V?

Seriously there have been some suggestions from some quarters that Brendan was playing for a draw against BMG, given that Brown fell back as a sweeper in front of the two CB's during the game, and that we hardly ever got into their final third, or even tested their goalkeeper with a single direct shot at him.

No chance, our team isn't capable of playing deliberately for a draw.

We need to change it up over there and try to take them by surprise. I'd drop Forrest for Roberts, he's just too one dimensional. Give Griffiths a go and also give Simjunovic a chance ahead of Toure, he's quicker and Borussia have some lightning pace.

Even might be worth doing a sorta 4-2-2-1-1, taking out Rogic for the Moose. Dembele can play with his back to goal and keep the ball.

    Something like:

    Gordon
    Lustig Sviatchenko Simjunovic KT
    Bitton Broon
    Roberts Sinclair
    Moose (in behind)
    Griffiths

    Pace, skill and power.

    Nothing to lose now.

Would our 2012 team under Lenny have beaten this German mob in folks opinion?
