I have seen 3 different world club rankings, one were Boca were first and another were Arsenal were first. We were 4th in the Boca one and 15 in the Arsenal one. How do they work these positions out, anyone know?

The ranking takes into consideration the results of 12 months of continental and intercontinental competitions, national league matches and the national cup.

All national leagues are rated at four levels based upon performance. In this grouping, each country is assigned a number indicating the performance level of each national league.

Clubs in the highest-level leagues recieve 4 points for each match won, 2 points for a draw and 0 for a defeat.

Level 2 is assigned 3pts for a win, 1.5 for a draw and 0 for a defeat, and so on with the next lower levels.

Level 2 is where Scotland and Celtic come in.

Yep duffy, that's right but a lot of other rankings do their own versions of ratings - often based on seasons, the past 2 years, 5 years, etc. Usually we're high up! Of course, the only ones that really matter are UEFA's and we're doing ok in theirs, could be better though!

P.S. duffy - if you make a mistake or want to update your posts, you can simply click 'Edit' towards the bottom of your post. Then you can change what you want.

if you look at this years champions league and european championships i think all stats go out the window, porto, monaco, and greece emerging as europes elite proves stats mean * all but at least were getting recognition.
