well what is this talk of global support..?

if people don't belong to any club/group or bus then they should e the ones banding together.. they fans who attend regularly, not just the glamour games need to make sure they use their buying power as one block.. tickets should always be for those who attend regularly.. if the guy (lass) on the street gets outpriced and can't get glamour games we will end up like the soulless lot down south.

we need the standing section expanded and a similar mindset of the german fans regards ticket pricing. our fans always make me proud when i see their passion/noise/colour on tv etc i would love to see that aspect not only continue but be encouraged by the club. I feel sorry for all the regulars who miss out on tickets for big games.. i hate seeing corporate folks turn out twice a year for the best games.. seems like loyalty is not reciprocated sometimes.

There's no argument the fans who attend regularly should be seen to first but with circa 50.000 + season ticket holders and a neutral venue only giving us circa 25,000 obviously demand outstrips supply and impossible to keep everyone happy even if everyone was part of some one group with the ability to bulk buy.

You also have to remember many independent supporters have been taking every ticket going for many years now home away and in Europe building up their own loyalty points in a way that up to now at least always gave them a high chance of meeting away game criteria. ie attended 13 of last 15 gets you one for say Aberdeen. Now like I said before suddenly for this semi the criteria rules went out the window, no notice given there was to be a sale and the result is thousands have dipped out.

Fact is during a successful run with mainly exciting football like now sponsors will always be willing to spend fortunes and the amount of tickets available to the die hards will be reduced. But under Ronny even though winning there were numerous games you couldn't give tickets away. So proves the point it's not just sponsors jumping on the bandwagon for glamour games.

Yes many would like to see the standing section expanded but i'm not certain that will happen anytime soon. As for German ticket pricing they can do that simply because their entire system, TV money etc is different to everyone else. But don't make the mistake of thinking the majority of German stadiums have a majority of cheap seats. They don't and most have 3-4 different price categories and can be very expensive. Don't ask me how exactly as I don't know all the answers and that is a thread of it's own.

You can just imagine the sweat rolling down their foreheads, buttons undone on the shirt, frantically trying to concoct the perfect 4 officials to derail a Double Treble.

Let's just hope we get back on track this weekend and then hammer them so bad that the honest mistakes are inconsequential.

Pretty sure referees in every other top league in Europe have to declare what team they support or declare any association to a club that they may have
